The Baptist Faith & Message.
We believe that God is the Creator of all that exists, and that He Himself has existed eternally in three Persons: Father, Son, and Holy Spirit. We believe that God created us to worship Him through community and to give Him glory. We believe that sin has kept us from knowing God and worshipping Him. Even so, God still loves us and He sent His son, Jesus, God in flesh, to live sinlessly on earth and die on the cross to pay the penalty for our sin. After three days He was physically resurrected, and now offers a restored relationship with God to all who believe in Him. We believe that salvation is a free gift given to us by God Himself and it must be received personally by faith. We believe the Bible to be God's Word. It is a true and fully accurate account of God's love for us. Its purpose is to teach us how to have a relationship with Him, worship Him and bring Him glory. Since we believe these things, we come together as a community to worship Him throughout the week through the studying of His word, through prayer, music, Baptism, and Lord's Supper.
Deuteronomy 6:4-5, 13; Isaiah 43:7,21; Matthew 3:16-17, 28:19; John 3:16; John 5:24; John 16:7-15; Acts 2:22-39; Romans 3:21-26; Romans 10:9-10; Ephesians 2:8-9; II Timothy 5:14-17; Hebrews 1:2-3
We believe that Jesus established His Body on earth in the Church. With Him as the head of the body, the Church exists as a community for the purpose of declaring the Gospel and glory of Jesus throughout the world. This community is a part of the kingdom of God here on earth. This means that every believer should be identified with a local body of believers for the purpose of mutual encouragement, spiritual growth and accountability. Since we believe these things, we come together to meet in our Life Groups throughout the week so these things can take place more readily in everyday life.
Matthew 18:15-20; I Corinthians 12:12-31; Galatians 6:1-10; Ephesians 4:1-16; Colossians 1:15-20; Colossians 3:12-25; Hebrews 10:24-25; I Peter 2:9-12
We believe that God cares about every need of every person. As the Body of Christ, we as the Church, are to show God's love and care for every person. As a community, every member of the church is called to be a minister of the gospel through both acts of loving service and through a willingness to share the truth of the gospel with everyone at every opportunity. This does not take place only in our local community, but also to the ends of the earth. With the power of the Holy Spirit, we believe that God has uniquely equipped every person with time, talents, and treasures which are to be used in serving all people, everywhere.
